A webinar is an online presentation. Attendees listen on their telephones, while they watch the presentation on their computers. In addition, participants are often involved in polling and asking questions as the presentation is going on. The rich learning environment involves multiple senses and provides for better understanding and longer retention than many other online training methods.
“Webinars are not new,” said Dr. Jeanette Cates in a recent interview. “But they are now affordable for individual presenters and small businesses. They are a very effective method for delivering a sales presentation, a training seminar, or facilitating a small group discussion. The First Webinar course represents the first affordable training in webinar presentations.”
