I recently saw a great example of massive action at Robert Plank’s blog. It’s well worth reading in its entirety, but here are the highlights. In one month, he

• changed his sales process to double his sales conversion rate.
• wrote 7 articles per day for 2 weeks – total of 99 articles
• created 99 Powerpoint presentations of the content in the articles
• recorded 99 videos with call to action
• loaded all of the articles in an article site
• loaded all of the videos into a video distribution service
• put all of the distribution on autopilot.

Now THAT’S Massive Action!

Two things struck me as I read his narrative – he was willing to work hard and he repeated the same process. So with those two elements, let’s look at how you can take Massive Action in your business.

First, recognize that action requires work. And work requires time. This is the time to record your TV shows and explain to the family that you’ll be working nights and weekends for the next two weeks.

If you spend just 3 hours per night and 12 hours over the weekend for the next two weeks, you’ll buy yourself 27 hours per week – or a total of 54 hours!

Next, decide on the action you want to take. If you need to finish a product, list everything you need to do to finish it. Then get started! Don’t spend over an hour on the list – you’re here to take action, not make a list.

If you need to market an existing product or build a list of subscribers, decide on just 2 or 3 tactics you’re going to use. Robert chose articles and video articles because they are easy, inexpensive, and create backlinks to your sites.

You may choose Pay-per-click ads and teleseminar or articles and blog posts. Or any other combination of tactics.

Regardless of your choices, spend no more than six hours learning to use them. No single tactic should take more than 3 hours to learn. You’re not trying to be an expert – you’re just trying to use it. Then Get to Work!

So the next time someone tells you to “Take Massive Action” not only will you know what they’re talking about but you’ll also be able to give your own example. Get started now.

• Create a report
• Sell the report
• Make it *very* easy and attractive for others to sell your report
• Provide a one-time offer to increase your immediate revenue
• Repeat

On the surface it sounds like a traditional information marketing model. But there are a few twists that make the 7 Dollar model unique.

1. While you can create the report from scratch, it could just as easily be one of those resale rights or private label rights ebooks you have sitting idle on your hard drive.
2. People who purchase your report can immediately sell it with no special instruction and no affiliate registration.
3. They keep 100% of the sales price.
4. You get the new customer’s name and email.
5. The 7 dollar scripts, which are included in the original ebook, put the whole operation on autopilot.

As a result of this system a cottage industry of new listing sites, new template formats, and experienced web designers who specialize in setting up 7 dollar sites has been created. And there’s no end in sight!

While the system is attractive, it has its drawbacks. For one, you either need to be fairly comfortable with HTML or you need to have someone who is. Installing the scripts is relatively easy. Getting all the pieces to work flawlessly is more complex and time-consuming.

Second, as would be expected there is a proliferation of 7 dollar products in the “making money” category. Yet while those seem to be the most popular and more profitable, there are people making money from other topics. One site lists over 400 products using the 7 dollar system, in 18 different categories

Third, you are essentially giving away your front-end profits in order to build a list. While this won’t hurt if you have a profitable “backend” to your product funnel, it does present a dilema for newbies. After all, which do you need more – $7 in revenue or a new subscriber? And could you purchase a new subscriber for less than $7 with another traffic method?

So given all of that, should the 7 Dollar System be a part of your online business? It all depends…

You can easily use the scripts to automate your sales process, particularly if you have a one-time-offer that converts well.

You can refer people on your list (or via other traffic methods) to the 7 dollar products that you recommend – putting the $7 in your PayPal account immediately.

You can start making profits or getting subscribers from those “dead” resale products sitting on your hard drive.

You can even build your list using this method. Just be aware of the “cost” per subsciber.

It’s all up to you and how you want to take advantage of this “new” online tactic.

Resale Rights – A Simple 5 Step Plan For Viral Marketing And Follow-Up

Master resale rights products are perfect for creating a business that is easy to promote with viral marketing techniques.  Here is a simple 5 step plan for creating your own product line from other people’s master resale rights products and marketing it with viral marketing and automated follow-up.

Step 1:  Choose Master Resale Rights Products For Your Plan

Master resale rights allow you to resell products as well as the resale rights for those products.  You need two specific types of master resale rights products for this plan:

• Products that have master resale rights that allow you to give them away as bonuses and package them with other products.
• Premium or high value products with master resale rights that allow you to package them with other products.

Step 2:  Create Two Viral Marketing Packages To Give Away

From the master resale rights products that can be given away, create two resale rights packages.  You will give these away with resale rights as part of your viral marketing campaigns.  An easy way to create these viral marketing packages is to use eBook software to bundle several products together.

Design the viral marketing packages to promote your name and your website.  Try to create packages where the perceived value of the package is high so that they will be popular and spread virally.  Because they have resale rights, people who receive the packages will have an incentive to sell the packages, use them as bonuses with other products, or use them as incentives when people subscribe to newsletters.

Step 3:  Create a premium resale rights package

From the premium or high value master resale rights products, create a premium resale rights products package to sell.  The products can be bundled together as above, or they can just be a set of “loose products” or a main product with several nice bonuses.  By creating a package, you can brand it and it will be something unique that you will have, even though it’s made from other people’s products.

Step 4:  Set up your business system

Now that you have your viral marketing resale rights packages, you need to set up your business system.  There are three basic components:  a “squeeze page,” an autoresponder, and a sales page.

A “squeeze page” is basically a sales letter that gets people interested, but they have to subscribe to your email newsletter to get more information.  If people click away from your page without buying and without subscribing, the chance they will come back and buy is very small.  Set up your website so that when people follow the links in your first viral marketing package to your website they land on your squeeze page.  Use the second viral marketing package that you created as an incentive for people to subscribe to your newsletter.

Use a sequential autoresponder such as Aweber or GetResponse to send your email newsletter.  A sequential autoresponder is an automated email system that can be set up to send follow-up email sequences at regular intervals of your choosing.  Follow up regularly with your subscribers to provide on-topic information and promote your premium package.  It can take seven times before someone makes a purchase.

After someone subscribes to your autoresponder on your squeeze page, redirect them to your sales page.  Your sales page is where you sell the premium resale rights package that you created.  Be sure to also promote your sales page links in your follow-up autoresponder messages.

Once someone makes a purchase, I recommend that you move them from your autoresponder for prospective customers to your autoresponder for customers.  This way you can follow-up with appropriate related news, products, and services.  People who are already happily doing business with you are likely to continue doing business with you.  Whether doing business on or off the Internet, relationships and networking are important.  We all prefer to do business with people we know and trust.

Step 5:  Promote your first viral marketing resale rights package

Offer the first of the two viral marketing giveaway packages as a bonus or an incentive wherever you can, with resale rights.  You just want to get it out everywhere possible so that it will start spreading as people sell it, give it away, bundle it in packages, etc.  You want it to spread like a virus and take on a life of its own. 

Keep putting it out in any way you can think of (but do not spam, of course).  You can use publicity releases, signature lines in forum posts, free downloads sites, etc.  You can even use pay-per-click advertising or sell the package for a very low cost on eBay (if the rights of the products in the package allow this).

If you have done a good job on the 5 simple steps above, at some point this viral marketing system will reach critical mass.  Because all of the packages have resale rights and the first two also have giveaway rights, more and more people will start to spread your products like a virus.  More people will visit your squeeze page and sales page.  Many will buy your premium product, and even more will download and spread the giveaway packages.

Congratulations!  You have just created a viral marketing campaign that may produce sales and leads for years to come, totally independent of additional marketing once you get the ball rolling.  Now go do the same thing over and over with new packages!
