For years I’ve suggested that people go to the forums in their niche market and see what they’re discussing. Or go to some of the question sites and see what they’re asking. In short, tune into your marketplace to discover their “big problems.” Then just find or create a product that solves that problem!

But this was a time-consuming process. Just visiting 20-30 sites every few days to stay up to date with the latest trends can eat up your time. And we all recognize that time represents revenue!

But I don’t always get around to selling my products. Why?

Nowhere in my 22 years of formal education did they teach me how to write a sales letter! And I’ve struggled with it for the past 10 years online – until now.

Here’s how I’ve made my sales letter writing faster and easier…

The original report, which has now sold thousands of copies, explains the simple system:

• Create a report
• Sell the report
• Make it *very* easy and attractive for others to sell your report
• Provide a one-time offer to increase your immediate revenue
• Repeat

On the surface it sounds like a traditional information marketing model. But there are a few twists that make the 7 Dollar model unique.

1. While you can create the report from scratch, it could just as easily be one of those resale rights or private label rights ebooks you have sitting idle on your hard drive.
2. People who purchase your report can immediately sell it with no special instruction and no affiliate registration.
3. They keep 100% of the sales price.
4. You get the new customer’s name and email.
5. The 7 dollar scripts, which are included in the original ebook, put the whole operation on autopilot.

As a result of this system a cottage industry of new listing sites, new template formats, and experienced web designers who specialize in setting up 7 dollar sites has been created. And there’s no end in sight!

While the system is attractive, it has its drawbacks. For one, you either need to be fairly comfortable with HTML or you need to have someone who is. Installing the scripts is relatively easy. Getting all the pieces to work flawlessly is more complex and time-consuming.

Second, as would be expected there is a proliferation of 7 dollar products in the “making money” category. Yet while those seem to be the most popular and more profitable, there are people making money from other topics. One site lists over 400 products using the 7 dollar system, in 18 different categories

Third, you are essentially giving away your front-end profits in order to build a list. While this won’t hurt if you have a profitable “backend” to your product funnel, it does present a dilema for newbies. After all, which do you need more – $7 in revenue or a new subscriber? And could you purchase a new subscriber for less than $7 with another traffic method?

So given all of that, should the 7 Dollar System be a part of your online business? It all depends…

You can easily use the scripts to automate your sales process, particularly if you have a one-time-offer that converts well.

You can refer people on your list (or via other traffic methods) to the 7 dollar products that you recommend – putting the $7 in your PayPal account immediately.

You can start making profits or getting subscribers from those “dead” resale products sitting on your hard drive.

You can even build your list using this method. Just be aware of the “cost” per subsciber.

It’s all up to you and how you want to take advantage of this “new” online tactic.

Should we be purchasing foreign language domains? If you want to “own” a niche, I think you should definitely consider it. It’s early in the game, but once the dotcom you want is gone, it’s gone.

You see, I recommended you pick up an ebook detailing the Cash From Scratch System. It outlines a simple 3-step process you can use over and over to create small product sites, bringing in revenue day after day for the long-term.

But while the system is simple, I could see there was a lot of room for more explanation. That’s one of the reasons it’s important to read and save a copy of the license for each site from which you purchase content. Each site owner offers different rights. So while one person allows you to use the content as is, another requires that you rewrite it before adding your name. One person may encourage you to use the content in pieces on multiple sites – another only allows you to create an ebook with the content. So read the license carefully before you buy a PLR product.

So how do you use PLR content?

Many people take the articles and add them to content sites or content blogs, adding Adsense in order to generate click revenue. Public Speaker Online is an example of this type of site.

Others take the original articles and “spin” them into 10 different versions of the articles, then post them on content sites and blogs. Spinning is generally done with software, either on your desktop or online. Private Label Rights Integrator is an example of this type of software.

This “spinning” keeps them from having “duplicate content” on their sites, which is a concern many people have, thinking the search engines will punish them for it with poor rankings. (Editor’s note: Not all marketers agree with the duplicate content issue. I, for one, do not believe the search engines are concerned that the same article appears on multiple sites – or they would not support news sites with the same press release on every site.)

With some PLR content owners create ebooks or special reports. A site such as Nicheology is set up to supply you with two new ebooks every month. However, you are free to break up the content into artciles or use the content on sites and blogs.

If you prefer audio, you could read the content and create audio articles or audio books for sale or for free online.

PLR content offers an unlimited number of uses – it all depends on your creativity, your ambition and the license for the content.

 

They do the work and you get the credit. PLR is a relatively recent addition to the Internet marketing mix – and it’s taken off like gang-busters! There are many sites that offer PLR content – from articles, to ebooks to audios to videos. And each follows one of two models:

1) a large group of products released as a bundle (SourceCode Blowout is an example) or

2) a monthly membership site that releases a set of materials on a schedule.

Some of the most popular PLR sites include:

Private Label Home Improvement Articles – If home improvement, real estate, etc are your niches, this may be a good investment for you to generate content.

Niche Health Articles – exactly what they say they are – a collection of health articles each month. If this is your niche it may save you a lot of time.

Private Rights Articles – at least 200 articles per month spread across 4 topic areas. He also includes graphics for each topic.

Niche Articles – this is inexpensive and provides one of the most down-to-earth simple plans to follow with PLR content

Nicheology – you receive two new products per month, including sales letters for them.

ArticleQuickstart – offers 199 articles for one-time purchase. Plus there are 900 separate tips and the right to use the content in different ways offered when you click to purchase the first item.

But I don’t. Why? It’s too time-consuming!

As an example, here is the process to check the stats on ONE domain:

• Log into the cpanel.
• Click on the stats icon.
• Click on AWStats (my preferred package).
• Look at the summary.
• Copy the major stats into a spreadsheet so I can track them over time.
• Click to look at the robots who have visited my site.
• Click to look at the keywords people have used to reach the site.
• Copy the keywords and save them in a text file so I can use them for PPC ads, articles, etc.

Whew! Ten minutes later, I’ve finished ONE domain. If you have 5 domains, it will take you about an hour. If you have 50 domains – it’s more than a day’s work! And if you have more than 100 domains – well, you get the picture!

I’ve dreamed for years that there could be an easier, faster way. I’ve talked to other Internet marketers. I’ve talked to programmers. No one had a solution. Until this week!

Enter the “miracle software,” as I’m calling it. It not only checks your stats, keywords, and backlinks, but it also gives you the number of pages from each site indexed in each of the major search engines. It finds your page rank and tells you about the robots’ most recent visits. Plus it tracks the stats over time and builds a chart – for each of your domains! Sweet.

Now if that’s all it did, I would be a very happy web manager. But it doesn’t stop there.

I was prepared to upload the pages and graphics to each of my 300 domains, one site at a time. But with the Mass FTP function, I can click ONE button and have the page and graphics uploaded to 300 sites in a matter of minutes.
 
I don’t know about you, but I am thrilled with the possibilities this software opens. In my first hour with the software, I have saved over 40 hours of work – that I probably would never have gotten finished.
