Birthday Bash Thank You

A year ago I put on my to-do list “plan birthday bash.” And while I didn’t get around to writing out the details, it was a GREAT birthday! Even if Ihad planned it, it couldn’t have been any better than it turned out!
It started two weeks ago in Atlanta, when Mary Mazzulo and Chris Howard, two dear friends, decided to get a group together to celebrate. 30 people turned out at PFChangs for a great meal – and a special treat from Pervaise (thank you again, Pervaise!). Pictures in the Photo Album section.
The party continued that Monday at the AM2 meeting – when Armand surprised me with one of those huge, roll-out-on-a-table cake, and a rendition of Happy Birthday. Even without all of the candles – something about the fire code – it was wonderful to be able to share it with so many friends.Â
On the actual day of my birthday, May 2, my family surprised me with a bag of cards – seems they had emailed many of my friends and told them what they were up to – and so many people pitched in and sent a card it took me nearly an hour to open and read all of them. Thank you so much to everyone! What fun that was.
And then my entire family arrived this weekend and took me to a lovely evening at a new German restaurant. Great time and great food.
So this is the end of my two-week celebration and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. So many people have helped make it a very special time for me and I so appreciate it. May you be lucky enough to have a great 60th birthday celebration as well! We need to celebrate who we are and what we’ve achieved. And it’s only when you ask that you truly get the things you want. I asked for a great Birthday Bash – and all of my dreams were exceeded!
